   Wow, great, awesome comic.. wish it was my real life. But I would NOT share my coven with any another Man … Big Brother or not. I would let them know that and if any of my coven choice to do that .. I would stop given my gift and if they just took it my force.. I would kill my self right in front of them ALL.

   The Avatars in this series are absolutely to top-shelf classic quality. We get visceral spine-tingles from watching the youngish looking fresh-faced Max in action with the fantasy families of ‘witches’.
   Creativity in the story telling is optimal.
   Unfortunately, there are no animated bouts in the series so far. Maybe in Chapter 23?

   I can hardly wait for the next chapter! I’m curious as to how Anne and Kira “dealt with” the last Paladin, and how they will deal with Max if it turns out he is a Paladin. Wouldn’t it be a hoot if Max turned out to be something like a Grand Master or maybe the first Warlock in their history! Both Anne and Kira have said Max is leading them into “uncharted territory” with his extra-normal abilities and outlook. Looking forward to Chapter 23, hopefully sooner than four or five months from now!

    Interessante Geschichte.Nur,besteht der Nachbarcoven lediglich aus Olivia und Diana?Dann könnten sie sich doch Maxens Familie anschließen.Würde vieles vereinfachen.Und was ist mit
    Olivias BB(Cousin) Joe,aus dem 5.Teil? Diana sprach immer von einem Bill der sich wohl auch
    hauptsächlich um einen anderen Coven kümmert. Und was ist verdammt, ein “Paladin”?
    Gibt es vielleicht doch eine Möglichkeit das Max “geistig”mit seinen Frauen kommuniziert?
    Er hat doch eine besondere emotionale Bindung zu seiner Familie.

    First off, I’d like to thank the author for this story, I’m really enjoying it.

    One quick… criticism, I guess… although that feels like too strong of a word for this. I love the sex scenes, but it would be nice if they were extended a bit. When I read it/see it, it takes all of ten seconds to get through with almost every scene.

    Anyways, I wanted to add my two cents on things that I feel don’t add up or make sense.

    The biggest thing that sticks out is about how vulnerable Max is or not. At the beginning, a lot of emphasis was placed on “The Rituals,” and how there were pretty severe consequences if they weren’t followed. Because of this, I assumed that anything that was referred to as one of “Their Laws” would have similar consequences if broken. Now I don’t know what they think.

    The reason why is partially due to the incident with Dee. The ritual supposedly requires mutual consent, and I don’t care how you define “enthrallment,” that’s not consent. So, theoretically speaking, no witch/coven should be able to enthrall Max and receive “The Gift.” Sure, they could enthrall him, but unless they simply want another servant to help with some chore or another, it’s kind of pointless unless they were doing it as an act of war or something.

    The other reason is the kind of grey area about whether or not a Big Brother is a part of the coven or isn’t. They said pretty clearly that Max isn’t a part of the coven (which seems kinda stupid imho.) But apparently the coven can make arrangements for his “services” without his consent/participation in the negotiations.

    So, basically what I’m getting at is that it’s really unclear about the whole consent thing. On one hand, Max can choose to consent via The Rituals, or not, but on the other, the coven (which he technically isn’t a member of) can offer his services without consulting him first. So, what if two covens strike a “Bargain” for his services, but his reaction is “Fuck Off”?

    Is his consent still required, or are The Rituals effectively bypassed? Because if The Rituals still apply, then these Bargains between witches/covens are pretty meaningless. They are more like arranging a sleepover with the hope that everyone will want to play truth or dare, but there’s no guarantee that they will.

    So the whole consent thing needs to be clarified by the author, because it seems like it’s clear one moment, but then unclear the next. Again, the Dee incident is a big factor in that. Like I said, enthralling someone takes away their ability to consent in my mind. (I mean, what’s the point of The Rituals if any witch can simply force him to give The Gift?)

    Now, as far as how he’s treated by his family, I believe they genuinely love him (especially his sisters, since they’re as new to this as he is,) and I don’t get the impression that he’s simply a tool for any of his family.

    But keeping him in the dark about everything is getting old quick. What’s also getting old is Max’s actions themselves in this regard. One moment he’s acting surprisingly mature and picking up on things that don’t add up, the next he’s acting like a complete ass-hat. I’m not talking about whether he’s thinking with his dick or not, I’m talking about his character in general. He keeps switching between mature responsibility and immature idiocy.

    For example, in one scene he’s aware that something is being withheld and he “needs answers,” but the next it’s like he’s forgotten all about it, or simply ignores it out of laziness.

    Then there’s the latest agreement between the covens for his services that his mom would have liked to have his participation in the negotiations. There wasn’t any good reason why he wasn’t a part of that, since his mom could simply postpone it until he was available.

    And finally, the scene where his mom begs him to promise not to become a “Palladin” whatever that is exactly. He can say the words, but it’s an empty promise since she’s apparently forbidden to tell him what it even means. He should have asked how to find out what what it was when she said it was forbidden to explain it to him.

    Oh, and I really wish his family would quit giving him so many mixed signals as far as limits on relationships. One moment they seem cool with things being about more than sexual release and charging up, but the next they seem to be pretty indifferent to anything beyond sex/charging up. The guy is confused and in the dark enough as it is.

       a pretty good analysis of some of the minor criticisms of this work. I would add a few minor ones that deal with continuity.
       1. Allie’s wife’s name flips from kelly to karen to kate kinda indiscriminately.
       2. Karen/Kate/Kelly says in her first sex scene with Max that she has never done a BJ before, but it is part of the “Ritual” for a Novice to advance, and later she speaks about how her home coven brother makes her feel degraded when he demands it.
       3. lastly, Olivia and Diane’s brother is introduced as Joe at the pool party, and later when Max is gifting Olivia’s family they call him Bill and talk about how he has no juice and was sent to Dee’s coven which has twice as many witches as Diane’s coven to fill in.
