   I think this has a deeper meaning than what meets the eye, in the story the MC is seemingly going through what can be called a time loop, being forced to exit and re-enter the shed. It’s implied multiple times that he needs to “move on” from either the moth or himself, so my theory is that when he was a child a accident caused his mom to either die or get seriously injured in the shed, this then traumatized the MC as a child and the entire comic is in his head attempting to come to grips with what happened and “move on”. I’ve also noticed that ” mothers ” seem to be a important story detail with the moth acting motherly to the MC and she would eventually become a mother with the smaller moth, I don’t know what this implies (maybe he didn’t have a mother figure when she died and this was a coping mechanism). The last bit that supports my theory is the ending as we can see a “copy” of the MC leaving the shed while the MC is begging to be let go, I believe that the “copy’ is the real MC moving on from his truama and leaving it behind in the shed where it started and throws away the keys implying he’s well ” moved on”
